Bentley Park College is situated on McLaughlin Road, Bentley Park, approximately 10 kilometres south of the central business district of Cairns.
You can view the location of Bentley Park College on Google Maps, and also view a College Map (PDF 576KB).
Bentley Park College is split in two sectors - Primary and Secondary. The safety of all students, staff and community members is paramount and it is recognised parents/carer like to collect their students as quickly and as hassle-free as possible.
Student Drop Off Zones
To assist in achieving this, Student Drop Off Zones (also known as Stop Drop and Go Zones) have been developed. Should you decide to drop off or collect your students you are asked to use these areas and not drop them off at the footpath along McLaughlin Road. By doing this you will minimise the risk of students coming into contact with vehicular traffic. The respective Primary and Secondary Drop Off Zones are indicated on the maps following.
Parents/carers may prefer their students travel by bicycle to school. Students are not permitted to ride their bikes in the school grounds and are to access the bike racks from the gates closest to their respective bike rack (Primary or Secondary). All bikes must be locked up and students are required to provide their own lock and chain. Bikes are not to be accessed between 9.00 am and 3.00 pm - if Secondary students you need to access outside these times see the Admininstrative Officer in G Block. There is no provision for the storage of scooters in the Primary sector so please use alternative transport.
Walking to school
Students who walk to school should follow the pathway and use the supervised crossings. They must use the respective sector entry points, Primary or Secondary, unless dropping off siblings in the Primary sector. They will be issued with a special identification card for this purpose.
School buses drop off at the main Primary entry point in the mornings and pick students up from both the Primary and Secondary Drop Off Zones in the the afternoons. In the mornings, the gate closest to the Secondary sector is the Primary bus stop area is open for Secondary students to traverse safely.
