The inaugural Local Community Education Body (LCEB) was formed in 2021 to assist with the design of the Indigenous Girls' Group for our Secondary sector, and to be an advisory group for the College.

The LCEB is chaired by Gimuy Walubarra Yidjini Traditional Owner Mr Neville Reys.College Principal Mr Bruce Houghton is the co-chair.

The Indigenous Girls' Program started in 2022 and aims to improve C and above data, reduce suspensions, increase retention and Year 12 completion, and improve attendance. We have a long established and very successful Clontarf Academy in the College, which will compliment the program.

In October 2021 we were delighted to welcome Professor Martin Nakata to the College to meet with our College Leadership Team and the LCEB to present his research into developing learner identities, and work with us on developing the Indigenous Girls' Program.

The Indigenous Girls' Program is based in J Block and commenced in Term 1, 2022.
