The Health Gateway to Industry Schools project aims to develop school students' knowledge and understanding of the varied roles available in the health workforce and improve their access to learning and experiential opportunities in Queensland's growing health sector.
Bentley Park College is the first Gateway to Industry School Health in Queensland, with the memorandum of understanding signed in August 2020 by College Principal Bruce Houghton and the Chief Executive Officer of program partner, CheckUP Australia, Ann Maree Liddy.
Bentley Park College is also a Gateway to Industry Information and Communication Technology (ICT) School, with both programs being launched in November 2020 at a ceremony in our Student Centre featuring The Hon Curtis Pitt MP, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and State Member for Mulgrave.
The Queensland Government has committed $600 000 for a purpose-built Medical Training Precinct, which will compliment facilities that have been provided by Canstruct International and the Bentley Park College Virtual Reality Lab.
Mobile Medical Unit
During Week 7 of Term 2, 2021, Bentley Park College took delivery of our Mobile Medical Unit for student training. The unit was kindly donated by Canstruct International. We look forward to this forming part of our Medical Training Precinct in the near future.
