When she graduated high school in 2015, like many others Rachelle Petersen 'didn't know what she wanted to be when she grew up'. After working in retail for a few years, she decided to volunteer at a childcare centre using skills she had gained while studying Early Childhood as a subject at school.
Rachelle quickly progressed, gaining her Certificate III in Early Childhood qualification, and is now in charge of a before-and-after-school-care program. Although going to university hadn't originally figured in Rachelle's plans, she is now enrolled in a Bachelor of Education course. 'Who would have thought that someone like me with no clue in the world what to do after school, would end up where I am now. I am ecstatic with my place!' Rachelle said.
